This Privacy Policy explains how Keetchen ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use the Keetchen mobile application. This Policy applies to all users: Clients, Home Cooks, and Restaurants.
By using Keetchen, you agree to the collection and use of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
1. Who We Are
Keetchen is a digital platform operated as an independent technology company, connecting customers with home cooks and restaurants. For the purposes of EU data protection law, Keetchen acts as the data controller for personal data collected through the application.

3. How We Use Your Data
3.1 To Provide the Platform Services

Verify vendor identity and documentation (restaurants)
Process and store hygiene declaration acceptances (home cooks)
Monitor and enforce platform rules and conduct policies
Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your personal data on the following legal bases:
Contract: Processing necessary to provide the services you requested (accounts, orders, bookings).
Legal Obligation: Processing required to comply with applicable EU or Italian law.
Legitimate Interests: Processing necessary for platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement, where not overridden by your rights.
Consent: Where you have given specific consent (e.g., optional data such as dietary preferences or profile photos). You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Data Sharing
Keetchen does not sell your personal data. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:
5.1 Between Users (Necessary for Service)
Client contact information (name, delivery address) may be shared with the cook/restaurant fulfilling an order.
Cook/restaurant profile information (name, location, menu) is visible to clients on the platform.
5.2 Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics). These providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
5.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred. You will be notified of any such change.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
If you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Order and transaction records may be retained for up to 5 years for legal and accounting purposes.
Vendor certification documents (restaurants) are retained for the duration of the vendor relationship and up to 2 years after account closure.
In-app messages are retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
As a data subject under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
Right of Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention requirements.
Right to Restriction: You may request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
Right to Portability: You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to Object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure:

Keetchen is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and associated data promptly.
10. Cookies and Tracking
The Keetchen mobile application may use limited tracking technologies (such as device identifiers and analytics SDKs) to understand usage patterns and improve the app experience. We do not use intrusive advertising trackers. You can manage app permissions through your device settings.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Keetchen platform may reference third-party services or payment methods used by vendors. Keetchen is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party service. We encourage you to read their privacy policies independently.
12. International Transfers
Keetchen operates primarily within the EU. If any data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in compliance with GDPR (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of Keetchen after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will always reflect the most recent version.
