About Keetchen
Keetchen is a digital platform connecting customers with independent home cooks and restaurants offering food, private chef services, and dining experiences. Keetchen does not prepare, cook, sell, or deliver food and does not operate restaurants or kitchens. Cooks and restaurants are independent operators and are solely responsible for their services. Keetchen’s role is limited to facilitating connections and communication between customers and cooks/restaurants.
Eligibility
- Minimum 18 years old to register as a customer.
- Provide accurate registration information and verify your email address when required.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Customer Accounts
- Required details may include full name, email, phone, and delivery address.
- Keep your information accurate and up to date.
- Keetchen may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
Orders and Payments
- Customers may place orders for delivery or pickup through Keetchen.
- Payments are arranged directly between the customer and the cook/restaurant; Keetchen does not process payments. Common payment methods include cash on delivery or peer-to-peer transfers (for example, Revolut).
- Keetchen is not responsible for payment processing, refunds, or disputes between customers and cooks/restaurants.
Bookings and Services
- Keetchen may be used to book private chefs, hosted meals, or restaurant reservations.
- Bookings are agreements directly between customer and cook/restaurant; Keetchen does not supervise or guarantee the performance of booked services.
Responsibilities (General)
- Cooks and restaurants operate independently and are responsible for: food preparation, food safety and hygiene, ingredient quality, delivery/pickup arrangements, service quality, and compliance with local regulations.
- Keetchen does not inspect kitchens or supervise food preparation. Customers engage cooks/restaurants at their own risk.
Food Safety (Customers, Cooks, Restaurants)
Purpose: establish expectations for safe food handling and consumer information.
7.1 For Customers
- Follow cook/restaurant instructions for reheating and storage.
- Notify cooks/restaurants of allergies or dietary restrictions before ordering.
7.2 For Home Cooks
- Maintain safe food storage and handling practices, cook to safe internal temperatures, and avoid serving food stored unsafely.
- Disclose common allergens and ingredient information to customers.
7.3 For Restaurants
- Comply with applicable food safety regulations, maintain certified processes for storage, preparation, and service, and disclose allergens as required.
7.4 Food Safety Disclaimer
By using the Keetchen application and placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
Platform Role — Keetchen is a technology platform that connects customers with independent home cooks and restaurants. Keetchen does not prepare, cook, handle, store, or deliver food.
Independent Cooks and Restaurants — All food offered through the platform is prepared and provided by independent cooks and restaurants who operate outside the supervision and control of Keetchen. These cooks and restaurants are solely responsible for the food they prepare and sell.
No Responsibility for Food Preparation — Keetchen does not monitor or verify the preparation, ingredients, hygiene standards, or food safety practices of cooks or restaurants. Therefore, Keetchen is not responsible for the safety, quality, or condition of any food ordered through the platform.
Consumer Responsibility — By ordering food through Keetchen, you understand that you are purchasing directly from an independent cook or restaurant and that you consume such food at your own risk.
Allergies and Dietary Restrictions — If you have food allergies, dietary restrictions, or ingredient sensitivities, it is your responsibility to communicate directly with the cook or restaurant before placing an order. Cooks and restaurants are responsible for providing accurate information about ingredients and food preparation.
Limitation of Liability — Keetchen shall not be liable for any health issues, allergic reactions, food contamination, or damages resulting from food purchased through cooks or restaurants on the platform.
Acceptance of Risk — By continuing to use the Keetchen application and placing an order, you confirm that you understand and accept the risks associated with purchasing food from independent cooks and restaurants.
Hygiene Requirements (Home Cooks & Restaurants)
Purpose: define hygiene acceptance and obligations required to operate on Keetchen.
8.1 Acceptance
- Home cooks and restaurants must accept Keetchen’s Hygiene Declaration (or equivalent) where required. Acceptance may be a condition of onboarding or continued platform access.
8.2 Core Hygiene Obligations
- Maintain personal hygiene, keep utensils and surfaces clean, store ingredients at safe temperatures, cook to safe internal temperatures, and refrain from preparing food while ill.
8.3 Enforcement
- Non-acceptance or failure to comply may lead to restricted access, suspension, or removal.
8.4 Home Cook Hygiene Declaration (to be accepted by home cooks)
As a home cook on Keetchen, I hereby declare and agree to:
FOOD SAFETY & HYGIENE:
• I will maintain proper hygiene standards when preparing food
• I will wash my hands thoroughly before and during food preparation
• I will use clean utensils, surfaces, and equipment
• I will store ingredients at proper temperatures
• I will cook food to safe internal temperatures
• I will not serve food that has been stored unsafely or for too long
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY:
• I understand that I am personally responsible for the safety and quality of all food I prepare
• I will not prepare food if I am ill or have symptoms of illness
• I will inform customers of common allergens in my dishes
• I understand that Keetchen is not responsible for any food safety issues
LEGAL UNDERSTANDING:
• I acknowledge that I am operating as an independent cook
• I understand the risks and responsibilities of home food preparation
• I agree to handle any customer complaints or issues directly
• I will comply with local health regulations where applicable
By signing this declaration, I confirm that I understand these responsibilities and commit to following safe food handling practices.
Restaurant Certification & Documentation (for restaurants)
Purpose: set documentation, certification, and professional requirements for restaurants using Keetchen.
9.1 Documentation Requirements
As a restaurant on Keetchen, I confirm and agree to:
• I will upload authentic business license, sanitary certification, and work permits
• I understand that I must provide valid documentation before being certified
• I confirm that all documents I will upload are current and legitimate
• I agree to update documents before they expire
9.2 Certification Process
• I understand that my account will be marked as "pending verification" until documents are approved
• I cannot accept orders until my restaurant is certified by Keetchen
• Keetchen reserves the right to reject my application if documentation is insufficient
• I must upload required documents immediately after accepting this policy
9.3 Professional Standards
• I maintain all required local health department certifications
• I follow all applicable food safety regulations and standards
• I have proper insurance coverage for my food service business
• I comply with all local business licensing requirements
9.4 Platform Responsibilities and Ongoing Compliance
• I understand that Keetchen is a marketplace platform connecting me with customers
• I am solely responsible for food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
• I will handle customer complaints and issues professionally
• I agree to maintain the professional standards expected of certified restaurants
• I will update my certifications before they expire and maintain the same standards used to obtain initial certification
• I understand that Keetchen may periodically review my certification status
By accepting this agreement, I commit to providing authentic documentation immediately and maintaining professional standards on the Keetchen platform.
Food Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
- Customers must inform cooks/restaurants of allergies or restrictions prior to ordering.
- Cooks/restaurants should make reasonable efforts to disclose ingredient and allergen information. Keetchen cannot guarantee absence of cross-contamination.
Communication Between Users
- In-app messaging is provided for customer-cook/restaurant communication. Use must be lawful and respectful. Prohibited conduct includes harassment, fraud, sharing illegal content, or attempting to bypass safety rules. Keetchen may monitor communications to enforce policies.
Reviews and Ratings
- Reviews must be honest and based on real experiences. Keetchen may remove reviews that are abusive, misleading, or violate guidelines.
Platform Availability and Performance
- Keetchen strives for reliable operation but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free performance. Maintenance and outages may occur.
Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Keetchen is not liable for: food quality or safety, cook/restaurant service quality, injuries during bookings, payment disputes, miscommunication between users, or delivery delays. Keetchen acts only as a technology platform.
User Conduct
- You must not use Keetchen for illegal activity, harass or threaten others, provide false information, manipulate reviews, or abuse communication tools. Violations may lead to suspension or termination.
Account Termination and Remedies
- Keetchen may suspend or terminate accounts for violations. Users may delete their accounts at any time.
Changes to These Terms
- Keetchen may update these Terms; significant changes will be notified through the app. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
Governing Law and Disputes
- These Terms are governed by applicable local law. Raise disputes with Keetchen support first.
